Opmerkelijk: gemeenten kunnen op papier hoog scoren met ‘duurzame energie’ uit houtstook van particulieren, simpelweg aan de hand van het aantal vrijstaande huizen en het bosareaal.

Onze overheid heeft dus zowel lokaal als landelijk weinig belang om schadelijke houtstook te ontmoedigen. Bij het aanpakken ervan zal immers het percentage ‘duurzame energie’ dalen, terwijl veel gemeenten juist al grote moeite hebben om hun ambitieuze klimaatdoelstellingen te verwezenlijken.
